I have been incredibly fortunate to meet some wonderful folks through Give Away A Dollar A Day…
My new friend, Hooshang Hasan, of New Zealand, runs a business called AvoPro, growing Avocado trees to sell and to serve Avocado lovers every where!! Hooshang recently blessed me with this wonderful letter:
Hi Todd,
Today, at work, I was thinking how to apply your “Give Away A Dollar A Day”.
I’m in New Zealand and it’s difficult to tuck in a one dollar coin somewhere, for someone to find, and smile.
You may remember I grow avocado trees for sale. Well, my business was slow for couple of weeks and somewhat short of cash, too. I knew I had to do something to get unstuck.
I now understand that in order to be in the flow of abundance, I must GIVE FIRST.
So how and what to give away in order to apply Todd’s magic formula?
A courier came to pick up three plants for a client from two weeks ago. I was short of cash and also didn’t seem right to offer the guy a coin.
I was still thinking while he picked up the plants and started for his van.
My good chance of “Give Away” was fast slipping away. Quickly, I went to help him load the plants, and casually offered him a cup of coffee!
To my utter delight he accepted.
I made the coffee for him and he sat down to drink it. I grabbed an apple from the fridge to eat and keep him company. There was one more apple left and I thought of giving it too. He accepted.
We had a nice conversation and he went on his way.
Later, in the evening, my wife handed me the phone. It was a client for three plants. The first in more than two weeks!
Was this a coincidence?
I advertise for sure. People find me from all kinds of resources and word of mouth too.
There’s always a logical explanation for everything and if something defies logic then some discard it as delusion or misguided thinking or simply lack of knowledge, etc.
Amazingly it depends on HOW YOU THINK.
If you think it ain’t so, then it ain’t so.
If you think; “Yes! It works!”
