It’s Sunday morning, and really shaping up to be a beautiful Spring day in Houston, Texas!
I had a ton of fun giving away my dollar today. It was at our local Walgreens store. I’ve got to tell you about it!
Before I got out of the car to go into the store, I paused for a bit, and just really reflected on what I was grateful for. Quietly, but with such blessing, I said, “Thank you God, I have more than enough today because I can give away this one dollar bill”. I felt such tremendous peace, and power, with this!
I headed on into the store, and walked to the school supplies isle to buy the Liquid Paper correction fluid that we needed. Now, the crayons were right next to the Liquid Paper, so I decided it was time to have a little fun. I folded my dollar bill in half and slipped it into the top of one of the crayon boxes. I felt such a huge amount of joy just imagining the look of surprise on the kid’s face who comes in to buy that box of crayons!!!
Thank you Give Away A Dollar A Day!
Blessings,
Todd

My modus operandi is similar—leave it tucked in with odd products (like at the pet store in the Cat Health section). But sometimes the opportunity doesn’t present itself readily… such as when I’m at the convenience store buying milk. They watch people like a hawk to prevent them from taking things, but it inhibits giving things.
I’ve decided that when I get my change back from my purchase, my giveaway is to leave the coins in the “take a penny” dish (even if it includes quarters). Do you suppose this will suffice?
Hi Jeanne!
I believe that the love and joy that you give WITH your gift are what are most important. For me, giving away a quarter can be just as meaningful as a dollar or a ten or even a one hundred dollar bill!
Thanks, and blessings,
Todd
