I played music today as the guest soloist at the Unity Circle Of Light Church in The Woodlands. Right before the service, which is held in the conference room of a hotel, I Gave Away a Dollar by leaving it on one of the continental breakfast counters. But a minute or so after I left it there, I found myself wanting to move it and take it to another place altogether. Why? Because where I originally left it made it look too much like a tip for the breakfast hostess, so I thought that no one else would dare pick it up…
I started to laugh at myself!
I was trying to control the outcome of this! I was trying to control who was going to find it and pick it up and who wasn’t, and who was entitled to it and who wasn’t.
When it was all said and done, I ended up leaving it right where it was…
Blessings and joyful giving,
Todd
