Just Give Love

I am growing more and more fond of my meditation time each day…

During meditation this morning, I noticed that I was thanking Spirit for all that was going to happen and come into my life, and for all that I was going to get as a result of it.

Then it dawned on me that I was once again focusing inward.

So I said, “OK, what if I turn outward today? What can I give?”

The precious answer arrived before the question was even finished…

Love.

And just like giving away dollars, it didn’t matter where or to whom or to what.

Just give love.

Just give.

Ahhhh…

Blessings in love,

Todd

    Hey Todd,

Thank you for this blog and your giveawayadollaraday site.

This is something that I discovered some time ago, and I would like to share even more with you that I have discovered, in hopes that you and others will get an even more profound understanding of this principle as I have.

I have learned that a number of people have gotten this idea that they should not give in hopes of receiving, and yet they know that when they do give, they do receive. This creates a paradox in some people’s minds, as it did in mine for a while.

Then I finally realized something. Everyone. … Everyone, has an unlimited supply of God’s love. God’s love is the most precious and valuable thing in the universe. God’s love can be shared.

Like all things of value, they can and should be exchanged for other symbols of value.

When I give now, I have learned to give, not in order to get (after all, I already have an unlimited supply of the most valuable thing in the universe), but rather to thank God for all the blessings that are in my life already. It is a humbling experience to realize that all the wonderful things in our lives are not of our deserving, but rather of God’s grace and mercy.

When we share God’s love through its many symbols, we allow, what is essentially the blood of the universe, to flow. It is that flowing that creates wealth and prosperity and well-being and all of the other forms of God’s love that we like to see in our lives. When we give money, or love, or caring, or courtesy, or … fill in the blank, it moves the universe and those things that we have given are replaced by other manifestations of love. So, of course, when we give money, we see more money, friends, opportunities, in our lives. God will give us anything we need, and like any father, God wants us to be happy.

To give a metaphor, it’s as if we each have a bank account with an infinite balance. The problem is that we either don’t realize we have the bank account, or we are unwilling to spend any of the money in it. Occasionally, we don’t believe it is of any value because “everyone” already has it. What we don’t realize is that its value is diminished when it is not shared. Like Ebenezer Scrooge, we are miserly and are reserved with giving away anything and like Scrooge, even though we are wealthy, we are living like paupers. It is not until we realize this and are willing to spend that wealth that we actually see anything in return or even realize what it is we actually have.

I am happy that you are helping people to realize this, and I hope even more people begin to realize how wealthy they are and begin to share their wealth in its myriad symbols as a sign of their gratitude and realization of its significance.
