Scripting

I’m on a business trip right now, involving flights and hotels and all. And this is a pretty key business trip with some potential career changing outcomes! So I’m excited about it and my expectations are high!

Well, there have been flight delays, so much so that I was starting to believe I wasn’t going to make my connection, and that my luggage might get lost due to the delays and weather, and that I would then not be able to shave in the morning and wear my nice suit, and on and on and on… Ahh, the endless chatter…

I relayed my frustrations and concerns to my wife, talking to her on the cell phone in the flight terminal. She suggested that I “script” the perfect outcome of the flights and the meetings and the follow up and the good news as a result of this very successful trip. In fact, she was going to write her own script for it.

Now, if you are not familiar with scripting, it is very simple – you write in your journal the end result of an event or a situation in future tense, as if it has already happened.

And then you let it go.

Set your intention, believe in it, and let Spirit take care of the details.

So I did this, and I began to notice that the trip details with the limo from the airport to the hotel and such were starting to go a little bit better. But then again on Friday night, on the first leg of my return flights back to Houston, there were more delays, and I started worrying again that I wouldn’t make my connection and wouldn’t be able to get home or that my bags wouldn’t be with me…

I started laughing…!

Because I was “taking back” what I had already scripted. Scripting puts my thoughts, my creative mind ideas, out into the Universe. I can be a powerful co-creator as long as I don’t try to “take it back” later on.

So, if you script a positive outcome for your life – know it, believe it, trust that the Universe is unfolding to favor you, and don’t take it back with self-doubt and disbelief!

Many blessings to you and yours,

Todd
