I’m kind of stirring over all the commotion about the economy lately and how bad some are saying things are right now. The housing market… The price of oil and the resulting cost of gas… The stock market…
It’s all enough to make you genuinely worried, right?
Well, I started to Give Away A Dollar A Day about six months ago because I, too, was worried about money. My worry was that I was going to lose even more than I had already lost after a bunch of really dumb mistakes. And that I might even go “down” this time…
But with the Divine inspiration from a classic movie, and the graceful clarity that I received during a meditation, I turned to the only thing left that made any sense… A spiritual solution.
Now, I am still giving away a dollar a day, and my personal economic situation continues to get better every day. (As do most of the other areas of my life!!)
Back to the current economic situation…
I personally think that it is dangerously irresponsible and illusionary for our government, and the economics advisers that are being consulted, to implement quick fix, knee jerk reactions to temporarily band-aid this situation. This has been tried before, and it has never resulted in a permanent fix.
What it will likely result in is just more of us focusing on the fear and the worry and the stress of it all.
Perhaps it is time for all of us, individually as well as collectively, to shift our focus… To try something a little more unconventional… Even radical! Perhaps it is time to start giving… Unconditionally… Without the expectation of anything in return.
After all, if it has worked for me and the many other folks that I know of who now Give Away A Dollar A Day, then why wouldn’t it work for you, or for states and governments, and even nations?
Think about this… But not from your mind…
