Since I began to Give Away A Dollar A Day a little over two months ago, I have definitely noticed a change… Over the last couple of days, I have felt very up, positive, and good about myself and about life in general. I’d even go so far as to say I was giddy! I’ve been much more loving than usual to everyone in my family. I’ve got several deals at work that are progressing well. And just this past Friday morning, I received an e-mail from an associate about a very interesting business opportunity. OK, that’s all the good stuff, and it’s also the obvious stuff…
I’ve also just noticed that the downstairs toilet in our house is now flushing… Completely…
What?! Hold on there, Todd, now you’ve really deviated, big time!! What the heck does a toilet have to do with giving away?!?!
Well, not much… Maybe…
I could tell you that we had Roto-Rooter come out two years ago to try and unclog the toilet to no avail. I could also say that I have worked on it quite a few times with no success. I might even be tempted to say that we just received a notice that our water company has changed service vendors, and so that could explain in physical terms why it is all of a sudden working wonderfully. But, for me, I am looking at all of this from a metaphysical standpoint, to see if there is a deeper, more subtle meaning.
On a personal level, I know that I am more in the flow of life lately. Some metaphysicians say that our house is a metaphor for our own life. So in the most subtle interpretation, and even strange and trivial as it may sound, our house, my house, is once again in order! It is back in “flow”. My life is back in flow!
