My friend, Becky Blanton, is an incredible writer. And she sent me a notice a few days ago about an amazing new book called Johnny Bunko. I knew nothing about this book. And it sounded kind of weird. But I decided to check it out anyway. I’m glad I did…
Because Johnny Bunko is really a good book. And the author, Daniel Pink, is pretty smart. The book, written in manga style, tells the tale of a lost and lowly office worker who is visited by a magical adviser who helps him to set a better course in his career. She gives him six lessons. But the seventh lesson…
This is where Daniel pink has some fun. He has run a contest asking for writers to finish the seventh lesson for him. Becky submitted her entry and, out of several hundred submissions, is one of only three finalists!!
Her submission for the final lesson is STAY HUNGRY. I happen to love that as it reminds me of the many times in my life where I have been driven by hunger, and likewise when I didn’t move because I was too comfortable.
Take a look at the blog that Becky wrote about STAY HUNGRY and Give Away A Dollar A Day. It’s excellent!
And then, go vote for her at the Johnny Bunko website.
Thank you, and remember, Giving Is Good Karma!
